NRPD Highlights: Night Out, Donut Boy and Speed Awareness Week

NRPD is participating in NYS Governor’s Traffic Safety Committee (GTSC) Speed Awareness Week (August 2-8), a week-long enforcement initiative to crack down on speeding drivers and speed-related crashes. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, 3 out of every 10 drivers speed.

National Night Out was held on Tuesday, August 1 at their headquarters. Patrol boat rides were also provided at the Harbor Patrol Unit in Hudson Park. The event attracted hundreds, who enjoyed facility tours, equipment, and K-9 demonstrations, fingerprinting, face painting, magic shows, bounce castles, food and so much more.  View Photos
