Court Closings for the Holidays

Please be advised that pursuant to a directive of the Deputy Chief Administrative Judge of the State of New York, the courts of the 9th Judicial District will be in recess for the period from the close of business on December 22, 2017 through January 1, 2018.

Therefore, all parts of the Court will be closed during this recess expect those which of necessity must remain open. The City Court will conduct arraignments of all prisoners (regardless of the charge) on Tuesday, December 26th and Thursday, December 28th. On Saturday, December 23rd, Sunday, December 24th, Saturday, December 30 and Sunday, December 31st, the Court will hold regular weekend arraignments of felony prisoners only at 8:30AM.

It should be noted that the 24 hour payment period for meter and overtime parking one-half payments will be extended until January 3, 2018 for all the summonses issued between December 22, 2017 – January 1, 2018.
