The mission of the Office of the Emergency Management is to utilize the City work force, outside governmental agencies, businesses, and the public in order to prepare for, respond to, recover from, and in some instances mitigate the results of natural, technical and man-made disaster events. The City’s primary first response effort includes the Police, Fire, and Public Works Department.
