Responsibilities
The Special Investigation Unit is under the command of a Criminal Investigations Division supervisor and is staffed by detective personnel and police officers assigned to the division. This Unit bears the responsibility for investigating violations of the law pertaining to:

• Controlled substances
• Gambling
• Prostitution
• Sale of alcoholic beverages
