The City Clerk’s Office issues and maintains the Vital Statistics records of the City: Marriage Licenses, Birth Certificates and Death Certificates. These records are confidential.
In addition to the original issuance of these documents, official Genealogy Transcripts- Marriage, Birth and Death Records- are also issued by the City Clerk’s office.
Marriage and Death Records must be at least 50 years old and Birth Records at least 75 years old for Genealogy Transcripts.
Marriage, Birth and Death Records begin in 1881. Prior to 1881 records were not officially recorded.
