Many residents have asked about the number of confirmed cases of COVID-19 in New Rochelle. With improved reporting and in the interest of transparency, the City will begin posting and periodically updating a count on this page, along with any other news and relevant information. We urge caution in interpreting the numbers. A higher number does not necessarily mean the virus is spreading, but rather that it is being detected. Because thousands of tests are now being conducted, the number will continue to rise, even if no new person contracts COVID-19.
NOTE: The City will continue posting the most updated figures provided to us by County authorities. Because reporting methodology may change over time, day-to-day comparisons are not necessarily valid.
