Virtual Parent Skills Coaching Family Ties of Westchester, Inc. is offering Online evidence-based parent skills coaching for caregivers. These sessions will promote positive, strength-based relationships, and will support caregivers by enhancing their skills, fortifying
effective communication techniques and fostering parenting self-esteem. The sessions will cover, but are not limited to:
• Learning effective discipline strategies and techniques
• Developing positive and caring family relationships
• Improving family communication
• Teaching children healthy decision-making strategies

Summer Camp - Scholarships Available
The JCC Mid-Westchester is offering scholarships and transportation stipends to its summer camp in 2020 beginning the week of July 14.  Camp is run on a weekly basis, Tuesday-Thursday.  For information on the the program, click here.  For information on scholarships, please email Susan Groner or call 914-725-7300.

Scholarships for child care are available for children of first responders and essential workers.  Please see application for more information. 

WIC
For women that are pregnant, postpartum or breastfeeding; infants, or children under the age of 5.  WIC program is now offering services completely over the phone. To sign up for WIC, call the New Rochelle Office at 914-365-6650.

New Rochelle YMCA is open for full day summer care and has scholarships available to New Rochelle residents.  Scholarships are available for day camp at the summer care program which is 9am-5pm with drop off and pick up in the  yard. Health checks are conducted every day.  The YMCA is also offering a four-week half day summer learning program to help rising first though fifth graders. The program is called New Rochelle YMCA Power Scholars  and is in partnership with national education programs like BellXcell and Scholastics. It is free to parents, each child receives $400 in school supplies and it is taught by a teacher. Families interested should contact Jhordane McNab at 914-632-1818 x22.
