This July 4th, cap off your holiday evening with a viewing of the grand fireworks display at the New Rochelle waterfront. Produced and sponsored by the famous Grucci family, the City of New Rochelle’s annual “Spark the Sound” extravaganza will start at 9:30 pm, rain or shine. Optimum viewing locations are Hudson Park, Five Islands Park, and waterfront restaurants.
The fireworks display kicks off a month of activities in celebration of July as “Parks and Recreation Month” with parks and playgrounds ready for play! Hudson Park Beach will open full time beginning June 27 and Lincoln Park Pool on July 2. Every Wednesday night the Hudson Park Bandshell will come alive with the Emil Paolucci Summer Sounds Concert Series, along with four extra Fridays of music- July 8 and 22 and August 5 and 19.
In the downtown, the Ruby Dee Park at Library Green will host the Downtown Jazz Festival July 14-17 followed by the BID’s Music on the Green on Thursdays July 21, 28 and August 4 and 11, as well as the weekly Grand Market on Saturdays featuring produce, artisanal foods and beautiful crafts. And at Twin Lakes Park, enjoy the Friday Down to Earth Farmer’s Market.
