[ARCHIVED] "Ideally Yours" Website Launched

“Ideally New Rochelle” Website Unveiled

Website, video showcase City as the ideal place to “live, work and grow!”

With the largest redevelopment initiative in the Hudson Valley underway, the City of New Rochelle today unveiled a new website and video reflecting the City’s new “Ideally Yours” brand, and its position as the next great destination to live, work and grow.

The website, www.ideallynewrochelle.com showcases New Rochelle’s neighborhoods and parks, extraordinary schools and libraries, and rich cultural history, along with the City’s proximity to Manhattan, skilled workforce and business-welcoming programs and initiatives.

“We are thrilled to present “Ideally New Rochelle” as a resource to showcase what our City currently offers, and the enormous potential on the horizon,” said Luiz Aragon, New Rochelle’s Commissioner of Development. “Cultural, economic and technological opportunities abound in New Rochelle, the ‘ideal’ place to live, work and grow.”

Through a series of brief videos, visitors will virtually meet a group of entrepreneurs from three distinct industries who exemplify New Rochelle’s commitment to foster culture, community and creativity. The website was funded by the City’s Industrial Development Agency (IDA).

“Promoting and encouraging economic development and job growth in New Rochelle is core to the mission of the New Rochelle IDA,” said IDA Executive Director Ayanna Wayner. “This website highlights the significant prospects for investment in the City, and will embolden local business to expand, attract new businesses, and ultimately create new job opportunities for our residents.”

The website complements New Rochelle’s active redevelopment plan, which is ultimately expected to attract more than $4 billion in new investment in the coming years. The initiative’s total build-out will extend to more than 12 million square feet of new construction including up to 2.4 million square feet of prime office space, one million square feet of retail, 6,370 housing units and 1,200 hotel rooms.

“Our new website illustrates New Rochelle’s innovative and ambitious downtown development framework, while also highlighting the community’s remarkable cultural, economic, and physical assets,” said Mayor Noam Bramson. “Using this effective and user-friendly tool, we can make an even more powerful case that New Rochelle is ideal for residents and businesses.”

“The City of New Rochelle is poised for a remarkable future,” concluded City Manager Charles B. Strome, III. “This website is our invitation to individuals and companies to get a glimpse of what we have to offer, and find out how they can join us.”
