News Update 3/14/2017:
As winter storm Stella moves out of the area, City Manager Chuck Strome has ended New Rochelle’s SNOW EMERGENCY effective 4 PM today. Free parking at the New Roc and Transit Center Garages will end at 6AM Wednesday, to make room for morning commuters.
As temperatures drop tonight, hazardous travel conditions remain, including slippery roads and black ice. Drivers should use caution on the roadways and avoid unnecessary travel.
Public Works crews will be at work around the clock clearing the roads. Residents are reminded that when shoveling out, don’t throw snow back into roadways; and to assist the Fire Department by clearing fire hydrants near property. Property owners are responsible to shovel sidewalk areas that abut their property.
If you experience a power outage, call Con Edison directly at 1-800-75- CON ED (1-800-752-6633). Report downed trees to the Police Department at (914) 654-2300.
