The United Veterans Memorial & Patriotic Association of New Rochelle unveiled the new Vietnam War Monument on May 30th at City Hall’s front lawn. The monument pays tribute to all Vietnam veterans. The names of New Rochelle’s fallen heroes were announced by Vietnam veterans during the ceremony, which was attended by hundreds of guests including veterans and elected and City officials. UVMPA President Peter Parente led the program which featured remarks from Mayor Noam Bramson, Denis Starr of the Monument Committee, Major General Richard Colt, Judge Ed Gaffney and Ronald C. Tocci.
The inscription reads:
“ALL GAVE SOME-SOME GAVE ALL…. IN TRIBUTE TO ALL VIETNAM VETERANS 1959-1975”
