The following message was sent 3/4:
This is the City of New Rochelle with updated information about storm recovery. Here’s what’s new since yesterday’s message:
Con Ed is distributing dry ice at New Rochelle City Hall on Hamilton Avenue today until 6pm. For now, repair work is focused almost exclusively on clearing roads and addressing safety hazards. Con Ed intends to transition to power restoration overnight, as mutual aid crews arrive from other regions. As repairs unfold, it is possible that additional homes will lose power, because electricity must be deactivated in order for line crews to work safely.
From our prior update:
Report all power outages to Con Ed at 1-800-75-CONED or online at www.coned.com. Treat all downed power lines as live and stay clear.
Report downed trees to the New Rochelle Police Desk at 914-654-2300.
If you are using a generator, make sure it is outside and properly ventilated.
Additional information will follow, as warranted.
