New Rochelle Parks and Recreation and A Game Sports in conjunction with Major League Baseball® (MLB) will celebrate National Kids to Parks Day with a free Pitch Hit & Run™ competition on Saturday, May 18th at City (Flowers) Park, Field 1 at 10am.
“We are pleased to partner with A Game Sports and MLB for this fun event as part of National Kids to Parks Day,” said Parks and Recreation Commissioner Bill Zimmermann. “We invite the community out to this competition or to visit any one of our many beautiful facilities.”
“A Game is honored to support this MLB-sponsored event that is not only fun but targeted to boys and girls alike,” noted A Game Sports partners Darin Feldman and Kevin Plein.
Pitch Hit & Run™ is the official skills competition of Major League Baseball®. This grassroots program is designed to provide youngsters with an opportunity to compete, free of charge, in a competition that recognizes individual excellence in core baseball/softball skills.
Boys and girls are divided into four age divisions: 7/8, 9/10, 11/12, 13/14, and have the chance to advance through four levels of competition, including Team Championships at Major League ballparks and the National Finals during the 2019 MLB™ All-Star Week®.
