The new federal stimulus package has key components for to assist small business. Here are some resources to help guide you to the one most helpful for you.

1) Small Business Guide to the CARES Act: Prepared by the US Senate Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship

The programs and initiatives in the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act are intended to assist business owners with whatever needs they have right now. When implemented, there will be many new resources available for small businesses, as well as certain non-profits and other employers. This guide provides information about the major programs and initiatives that will soon be available from the Small Business Administration (SBA) to address these needs, as well as some additional tax provisions that are outside the scope of SBA.

This week the Senate passed the largest economic stimulus package in recent history. The House is planning on voting on this legislation in the coming days. This bill would provide direct payments to Americans and loans to large and small companies, dramatically expand unemployment insurance to cover freelance and gig workers, and extend additional resources to health-care providers.

The Business Council of Westchester has assembled a distinguished panel of experts to discuss the stimulus package and how it will effect different business sectors in the county. Moderated by Dr. Marsha Gordon, President and CEO, Business Council of Westchester.
