Here’s what’s new.
The New Rochelle Board of Education has approved a one-month extension on the April property tax bill, which will now be due on May 31st. Property owners are still encouraged to pay this month on the usual schedule, if possible, but anyone who needs a little extra time because of the economic crisis will have it.
The New York Blood Center is seeking donations of plasma from people who have recovered from COVID-19. This convalescent plasma can be used to treat other patients. If you are able to donate or to learn more, visit nybloodcenter.org.
Now reminders from previous messages:
The State’s new face covering requirement takes effect tonight. Face coverings such as scarves, bandannas, or cloth masks must be worn in any public setting where physical distancing is impossible.
The City has launched a new webpage with information about community and volunteer services. Visit newrochelleny.com/newrostrong to learn more.
Finally, please remember to clap or make some noise this evening at 7:00pm to honor health care workers and essential service providers.
As always, there’s more information at newrochelleny.com/coronavirus.
Thank you for listening. Let’s continue staying apart physically to slow down the virus, while standing together in spirit to support all of our neighbors.
