[ARCHIVED] Nourishing the front lines at Montefiore

NewRoRunners

Many efforts are ongoing in New Rochelle to provide meals and other treats to front line workers at Montefiore as a way to say thank you for all that they are doing during the current public health crisis. The funds raised are then used to purchase the meals and other treats from local establishments, providing critical financial support to local businesses.

· NewRo Runners repurposed its race registration system to serve as a fundraiser, raising more than $21,000 along with a generous matching donation by the running club. With the funds raised, NewRo Runners has provided meals for Montefiore, the police department and local agencies. Click here to learn more about this initiative.

· New Rochellean Greg Gonzalez turned a conversation with one friend into a fundraising campaign that has raised over $23,000 to provide meals to Montefiore hospital workers. If interested in supporting this effort, mail check to 10 Elk Ave, New Rochelle NY 10804. For more information contact - Greg Gonzalez at (646) 739-0403 or email greg@mpsparking.com

· 15 year old Milan Acosta, who aspires to be a physician when she grows up, launched her campaign Operation Feed A Hero to provide meals to workers at various hospitals in our region, including Montefiore in New Rochelle. Click here to learn more about Milan’s effort.
