[ARCHIVED] Corporate Citizenship at its Best!

Even though they are facing challenges themselves, businesses are stepping up to help with donations of food, goods, and money during the pandemic.

· NourishALL, the City’s initiative to provide restaurant gift cards to food insecure residents, is funded through contributions from developers as well as members of the public. So far, 2,300 New Rochelleans have received gift cards to use for meals at local restaurants.

· Quaker Ridge Bagels is bringing smiles to residents served by the New Rochelle Community Action Partnership (CAP) Center at 95 Lincoln Avenue with their weekly delivery of fresh bagels and cream cheese that began at the end of April and is continuing through the month of May.

· Home Depot donated boxes of gloves, sanitizer, and cleaning supplies to HOPE Community Services helping the organization stay clean, safe and operational.

· Shop-Rite jumped right in to support New Rochelle’s students when the school district’s kitchen closed on short notice with a donation of food products to allow for the continued provision of school breakfasts and lunches until the school district’s kitchen was back in service the next day.

· Baldor donated 11 pallets of beautiful fresh fruits and vegetables to HOPE Community Services, New Rochelle Community Action Partnership, and the New Rochelle Municipal Housing Authority.
