Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church – helping the vulnerable and Thanking the front line

NewRo Cheers go out to Philoptochos of Holy Trinity, the women’s philanthropic society of the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church for their selfless efforts to help so many different groups of people impacted by the pandemic. To make sure the City’s most vulnerable residents get well nourished, the society, whose name means “friend of the poor,” has been sending 60 meals twice a week to the Oasis Homeless Shelter as well as purchasing groceries for and providing donations to HOPE Community Services. The society thanks the workers at Montefiore weekly with a breakfast. It also gave trays to police, fire & ambulance services for delivery to members who were personally affected by the coronavirus.
