NewRo Cheers goes out to local manufacturer Richard Ellenbogen, owner of Allied Converters. Recognizing the shortages in Personal Protection Equipment (PPE), Ellenbogen quickly pivoted his plastics business to manufacture 20,000 plastic shields per day for hospitals around the country, including Montefiore here in New Rochelle. Ellenbogen’s efforts saved hospitals’ money and kept his employees working.
