Due to health and safety concerns and continued restrictions on public gatherings as a result of the coronavirus pandemic, the City of New Rochelle has cancelled the July 4th “Spark the Sound” fireworks display for this year.
“As disappointing as it is to cancel one of our most beloved events, the welfare of our community is paramount,” said Parks Commissioner Bill Zimmermann.
This announcement follows the cancellation of the 2020 Summer Sounds Concert Series at the Hudson Park Bandshell by the New Rochelle Council on the Arts last month.
