[ARCHIVED] June 8 City Update

City Update_graphic

This robocall was sent Citywide:

Metered parking is in effect city-wide starting today, and tickets for violations will be issued beginning tomorrow.

Also tomorrow, New Rochelle and the Mid-Hudson region will enter Phase II reopening, including most in-store retail, barbershops, professional services, offices, and outdoor dining.  All businesses must have a safety plan, and face masks and physical distancing remain essential.  For details, visit forward.ny.gov.

We’re grateful to all the local businesses that have persevered through this challenge, and they deserve our patronage now, so please make a point of supporting business in New Rochelle, even as we continue to act responsibly to prevent the spread of the virus.

Regarding the school and library election, yesterday the State determined that ballots sent by mail will be counted if they are received by June 16th.  You can also drop off your ballot in person at multiple sites by 5pm on June 9th.  For more information or if you have not received your ballot, contact the School District at 914-576-4219 or visit nred.org

As always, for additional resources or to learn how you can help, donate, or volunteer, visit newrochelleny.com/newrostrong.  And for general information, visit newrochelleny.com/coronavirus.

Thank you for listening.  At a time of multiple challenges, let’s stand together for a safe, just, and healthy community in which all of our neighbors are valued.
