[ARCHIVED] Office for the Aging Launches “Senior Citizens on the Move”

Seniors looking to keep in shape can now access exercise classes in the safety and comfort of their own homes. Beginning Monday, July 20, a series of 15 minute exercise classes will be broadcast weekdays on the City’s cable station, NRTV.

“During these unsettling times, we are glad to offer our seniors some familiarity, along with fun and fitness,” noted OFA Executive Director Phillis Maucieri. “These televised exercise programs will enable our older residents to work out without having to go out.”

The programs will air Monday through Friday on NRTV cable channels Optimum 75 and FIOS 28. The class schedule beginning Monday June 20 is as follows:

BELLY DANCING with Aszmara                 

Mon & Thu @ 6am & 11am

SENIOR EXERCISE with James 

Tue @ 6am & 11am

Wed & Fri @6:15am & 11:15am                      

STAY STRONG & FIT with Offutt 

Mon, Tue, & Thu @ 6:15am & 11:15am

Wed & Fri @ 6am & 11am
