This robocall message was sent citywide on August 7:
This is the City of New Rochelle with a storm recovery update.
Approximately 5,000 homes in New Rochelle still do not have power, down from a peak of about 9,000. Con Ed continues to ramp up its repair activities with contractors and mutual aid, and is bringing homes back on line in our community at a pace of about 1,000 a day.
To view repair estimates for specific neighborhoods, please visit the Con Ed outage map at outagemap.coned.com.
Dry ice will once again be available today on Hamilton Avenue next to New Rochelle City Hall from 12:30pm to 9:00pm as well as Con Ed’s information truck.
Now, to repeat prior information.
If you have lost power, we recommend that you contact Con Edison on a daily basis at 1-800-75CONED. For other storm-related matters, including downed trees, call the City hotline at 914-740-6118.
Storm debris pickup is expected to take several weeks. Debris should be brought to the curb, bundled and cut as small as possible.
Alternate side parking regulations and the City’s leaf blower ban are suspended until further notice.
Always stay clear of downed power lines and please exercise caution while driving.
Additional updates will follow as warranted and will also be posted on the City website at newrochelleny.com and our social media pages.
