This is the City of New Rochelle with a storm recovery update for August 11th.
Significant restoration work in the last 24 hours has brought the number of remaining power outages in New Rochelle down to about 600, with the majority of those expected to be restored today. It is likely, however, that some scattered outages will persist until later this week – if you don’t have power, please call Con Edison on a daily basis at 1-800-75CONED.
The City has continuously advocated strongly for Con Ed to accelerate repairs, and this will remain our priority, until power is restored to every home.

Dry ice distribution returns to New Rochelle today on Hamilton Avenue, next to City Hall, until 9pm.
Remember, if you have lost power for more than 48 hours, you can file a claim with Con Edison for spoiled food, medication, and other perishable items. To find the claim form, visit coned.com, use the drop-down menu at “Services & Outages”, and choose “File a Claim.”
Storm debris pickup has begun and will continue for several weeks. Debris should be brought to the curb, bundled and cut as small as possible.
Alternate side parking regulations and the City’s leaf blower ban remain suspended until further notice.
This has been Mayor Noam Bramson. Thank you for listening and stay safe.
