[ARCHIVED] NRPD Participates in “2020 Buckle Up New York- Click it or Ticket” Campaign

The New Rochelle Police Department will join the Governor’s Traffic Safety Committee and National Highway Traffic Safety Administration in 2020 Buckle Up New York (BUNY) Click It or Ticket (CIOT) mobilization November 16-29, 2020.

While seat belts have been proven to be one of the best ways to save your life in a crash, many drivers and passengers still don't buckle up,” said NRPD Traffic Unit Det. Sergeant Myron Joseph. “This campaign focuses on safety education, strong laws, and enforcement efforts to help reduce crashes and save lives.”

In support of this effort, NRPD will join multiple agencies in checkpoints and saturation patrols, with a zero-tolerance policy; and will feature materials from the “Buckle Up. Every Trip. Every Time.” campaign on their website and social media platforms.
