On Friday, November 27th at about 11:54 p.m., New Rochelle Police Officers responded to the vicinity of Horton Avenue and Brook Street on a report of a shooting. Subsequent investigation determined that the male victim, aged 29, was shot once in the leg while walking on Horton Avenue. 

The victim, a new resident to the area, appears to have been targeted. The victim was transported to Jacobi Hospital for treatment, and according to Hospital Staff the injury is non-life threatening. 

The investigation remains active, and no further information will be released at this time.
