[ARCHIVED] City of New Rochelle Invites Submission of Images for COVID One-Year Reflection

March will mark one year that the coronavirus pandemic has impacted our City. Over the past eleven months, members of our community have suffered terrible losses. In addition, we have collectively faced challenges that have redefined work, home, school, family, faith, friends, neighbors and business. Through it all, our community has demonstrated strength, resiliency, and hope.

To acknowledge this impact, we are creating a virtual image gallery related to the pandemic and invite New Rochelle residents, businesses, schools, houses of worship, organizations, not-for profits etc. to send in snapshots that capture the spirit of the last year for themselves and/or their loved ones. Images can be reflective of everyday life, the ‘new normal’, an event or experience; or can express emotions such as concern, fear, sorrow, peace and gratitude.

Selected photos will be compiled into a retrospective that will be posted online by Wednesday, March 3, marking one year since the announcement of the first case identified in New Rochelle.

To submit content, visit www.newrochelleny.com/submitphoto. Images must be your own, be acceptable to all audiences, and be copyright free. Please limit your photo submission to one per person. Deadline for submission is Monday, February 22nd
