On June 4, at approximately at 3:32 pm, New Rochelle Police Officers responded to Palmer Avenue and Stephenson Boulevard on a report of a strong-arm robbery.
Upon Arrival Officers interviewed the victim, an adult male and New Rochelle resident. He stated that a male/black on a moped had almost struck his car; an argument ensued and the suspect reached into the open window of the car and took the victim’s backpack. The victim attempted to retrieve his backpack at which point the suspect physically assaulted him, knocking him to the ground. The victim sustained a laceration to his left hand.
The suspect, described as a light-skinned male/black, aged 25-30, six-feet tall, long black unkept hair, 160-170 lbs., then fled with the backpack, east on Palmer Avenue. The moped was described as black with no license plates. The backpack contained approximately $300 and sunglasses.
