Back by popular demand, New Rochelle Department of Parks and Recreation is proud to present the 2nd annual “Scarecrows on the Sound” on October 16th at Davenport Park from 10am-noon. New Rochelle families and small groups of up to 8 people are invited to bring a homemade-scarecrow head, outfit and accessories to create their own custom scarecrow using straw, hay, twine and stakes provided by Parks & Rec. Scarecrows can then be taken home or donated for display at City facilities.
Scarecrow stations will be socially-distanced throughout the park, fall games and apple cider will also be onsite. The cost for the event is $25 and pre-registration by mail or in-person is required. Download a flyer and registration form at www.newrochelleny.com/parks. Spaces are limited and on a first-come, first-served basis. Current CDC health guidelines will be observed.
