Free, in-person tax assistance through AARP Tax-Aide will again be offered at the New Rochelle Public Library this tax season. 

This year, assistance will be provided by appointment only. Walk-ins cannot be accommodated. New Rochelle Public Library patrons can call 914-222-3393, leave their name and phone number, and a Tax-Aide advisor will contact them to schedule their appointment. Trained AARP volunteer counselors will meet with patrons at their scheduled time in the library’s Meeting Room and on the stage of the Theater.

Participants are reminded to bring with them last year’s return and supporting documentation, as well as official photo identification and a social security card, or other comparable documentation, to their appointment. Special forms may also be required. When a Tax-Aide advisor contacts participants to set up an appointment, they will be told which forms they need to bring to their appointment.
