With Memorial Day weekend as the unofficial kick-off for summer recreation, New Rochelle’s waterfront parks will be open to residents and visitors on weekends and holidays starting Saturday, May 28.

 Hudson Park Beach will be open weekends only beginning May 28-30 through June 26. Parking is free for Parks Passport holders, $5 for residents without a valid Park Passport and $10 for non-residents 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM. In the interest of health and safety, restroom facilities will be open and sanitized frequently. Outdoor showers will be open. 

 Weekend and holiday parking admittance at Five Islands Park and Davenport Park May 28-June 26 is from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM. Parking is free for Parks Passport holders, $5 for residents without a valid Park Passport and $10 for non-residents. Restroom facilities will be open and sanitized frequently. 

 All of New Rochelle’s other parks and natural trails are open.  Waterfront parks will be open daily starting June 27. 

 “We invite our residents to kick off their summer by visiting one of our beautiful parks or natural areas,” said Parks and Recreation Commissioner Vin Parise. “Whether it’s enjoying the Long Island Sound waters at Hudson Park Beach, the views from Davenport and Five Islands, the wooded trails at Ward Acres, or one of our many playgrounds located throughout the City, we’re ready for you!”
