New Rochelle Fire Chief Sandor Appointed as Chair of Westchester County Fire Advisory Board

New Rochelle Fire Commissioner / Chief Andrew Sandor has been selected as Chairperson of the Westchester County Fire Advisory Board. 

 Members of the County Fire Advisory Board are appointed the County Executive and approved by the Board of Legislators.  The Board is made up of leaders of Career and Volunteer fire organizations including the Westchester Career Fire Chiefs, County Fire District Commissioners, County Fire Union representatives for officers and firefighters, the Westchester Volunteer Fire Chiefs, the Westchester Volunteer Firefighters Association, and members of the County’s Department of Emergency Services, headed by Commissioner Richard Wishnie.  

”It’s an honor to be selected to help guide this group of outstanding Westchester County Fire Service leaders.  As we all work together for the causes of Fire Prevention, Fire Suppression and provision of related emergency services, we strengthen the response in each of our communities,” said Chief Sandor.
