On December 4th ,2022 at about 6:30pm, New Rochelle Police responded to the Subway/Carvel restaurant at 642 North Avenue on a report of an attempted armed robbery. When Officers arrived, the employee of the business told them that a young black male, approximately 5’ 10” wearing a blue hooded jacket and mask, entered the store, pointed a realistic looking handgun that was actually a BB gun at her and demanded money. The employee refused to hand over the money and the suspect then shot her three times in the torso with the BB gun before fleeing on foot. The employee sustained only minor injuries.
