In continued support of local businesses and not-for-profits as pandemic recovery continues, the City of New Rochelle will open a Second Tranche of ARPA grant funding on April 1.

The $1.9 trillion American Rescue Plan Act of 2021, signed into law on March 11, 2021, provided $350 billion in emergency funding for state, local, territorial, and Tribal governments for economic relief and recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic. New Rochelle received a total of $37 million in two tranches. Applicants who received funding from the First Tranche can apply for Second Tranche funding, but new applicants will be given priority.

“Thanks to ARPA funding, we are able to continue the path towards a comprehensive recovery, with a special focus on strengthening our social, physical, and economic infrastructure,” said Mayor Noam Bramson.

The dedicated website www.newrochellearpa.org contains detailed information as well as a portal for applications. Additionally, the City will host six in-person ARPA information sessions at City Hall on the following dates:

  • Afternoons: April 3, May 1, June 5 @2PM
  • Evenings: April 17, May 15, June 19 @6PM

Spanish translation is available for all sessions.

City businesses, and institutions with current tax-exempt status as a public charity under section 501(c)(3), 501(c)(4), or (19) of the Internal Revenue Code are invited to apply. For further assistance, contact Rita Azrelyant at razrelya@newrochelleny.com or (914) 654-2148.
