[ARCHIVED] Green Tip of the Week No. 110

Did you know that an empty refrigerator or freezer will always use more energy and cost you more money that one that is full? For the refrigerator, if you can't fill it, think about putting some containers of water in the refrigerator. Not only will you save electricity and money but water as well, because you won't have to let the faucet run to "get the water cold." For a partially full freezer, make yourself some extra ice and store it in re-usable plastic containers in the freezer. You will save money - and always have ice!
