A sculpture created by internationally acclaimed artist Charles Fazzino to honor New Rochelle’s 325th Anniversary will be installed at New Rochelle City Hall on Friday, September 27 at 4:00 PM. All are invited. Light refreshments will follow.
The piece, aptly entitled “The 325th Anniversary of New Rochelle”, depicts the very best in New Rochelle for the past 100 years. The sculpture will be located on the first floor, in front of the City Council Chambers.
In June, the sculpture was unveiled at the City’s 325th Anniversary Gala along with an original print created by Fazzino for this special anniversary year. Copies of the print are available for a donation of $10.
The art installation kicks off the City’s annual “ArtsFest” Arts and Culture Festival on Saturday and Sunday September 28 and 29, sponsored by the New Rochelle Council on the Arts. Free Culture Trolleys will carry riders to nearly thirty galleries, studios and museums throughout New Rochelle and Pelham featuring exhibits, celebration, music, workshops and performances.
