I know that the City owns some of the property in front of my home between the curb and my house. How much does it own?
In general, the City owns approximately 10 feet beyond the curb line. In some cases its more and in others it’s less. However, only a detailed property survey showing the curb and the property line truly shows that distance. As a guide, utility poles, fire hydrants, street signs, and lights are all located within the City right of way.
